the FATED DESIGN DUO
Between the two of us, we cover a lot of ground. Kaitlyn brings the strategy, the creative direction, and the business thinking that makes sure every brand we build actually works. Chayse brings the visual and technical range to execute it at every level: brand design, photography, video, web.
We've built a working relationship where the strategic and the aesthetic are always in conversation, and that's what makes the work cohesive. When you work with FATED, you're getting both halves of that from the start.
Kaitlyn Palmquist
Founder & Creative Director
Kaitlyn started FATED because she genuinely cares about two things: great work and the people behind it. She leads every project with equal parts strategy and instinct, making sure the aesthetics and the business thinking are always working together. Her background spans design, photography, marketing, and web, which means she understands what a brand needs from every angle. Clients come to FATED and leave feeling taken care of. That's intentional. Every brand built here is researched, specific, and built to last.
Kait, off the clock
Kaitlyn has always been the kind of person who figures it out. That's led her down a lot of roads and picked up a lot of skills along the way, but at her core she's pretty simple: give her a good fantasy book, her three cats, and the people she loves and she's good. She's a fiercely loyal friend and a Libra who leans all the way into it. Her husband Michael has been her person since they were both 16 years old, meeting on MySpace in a way that genuinely shaped how the rest of their lives went. Sixteen years later, still inseparable.
Chayse Henke
Partner & Art Director
Chayse is multi-disciplinary in the truest sense. Brand design, cinematography, studio photography, video production, web — he works across all of it and takes every craft seriously. He's an obsessive learner who is constantly pushing his own work forward, always hunting for the exact right way to give a brand its visual voice. If something needs to be figured out, he figures it out. Chayse is exactly the kind of person you want in your corner: genuinely invested, deeply collaborative, and someone who shows up fully for the work and the people doing it.
Chayse, off the clock
His hobbies rotate on a roughly three-month cycle but movies and drums have been constants his entire life. Any given day involves bouncing between ten different music genres and ending with a horror film or two. He loves bowling, grilling, Old Fashioneds, jazz bars, and Chiefs season. He and his partner Meag have a tiny Australian Shepherd named Juniper who has at least a dozen distinct personalities. She's their only child and she knows it.
our TRUSTED COLLABORATORS
We're intentionally small. But we're not alone. These are the people we bring in when a project calls for it. Handpicked, trusted, and very good at what they do.
Shelby Nelson
Social Media Manager
Shelby runs the social media side of FATED with the kind of range that actually matters. Her background spans team management, content creation, and social media strategy, which means she understands both the operational and creative sides of showing up consistently online. She knows how to read a client, build content that feels specific to a brand, and make sure what goes out actually connects with the right people.
Shelby, off the clock
She has always made things. Block printing, watercolor, collage, soap, nature photography — the medium changes but the impulse doesn't. Her house is full of plants, nag champa, and a growing collection of rocks and shells she absolutely did not need but could not leave behind. Most evenings she's reading poetry with a coffee or a cocktail. Her dog Cozie is a certified good girl and Shelby will tell you that unprompted.
Roxie Anger
Social Media Manager
Roxie has been quietly making things happen in Springfield for years. From curating events to building online presences she knows what it takes to show up consistently and make people pay attention. She's worked across film sets, comedy stages, and everything in between, which means she understands content from every angle. The kind of content that attracts the right people and keeps them there.
Roxie, off the clock
She skateboards, makes short films, performs, and has a running list of movie ratings she takes seriously. Whatever she's doing, she's probably doing it with people she loves and making it more fun than it had any reason to be. Her partner Ian is the silliest, most talented, kindest person she knows. Her cats Marvin and Benny are big, cuddly, and somehow awake at 3am every night. She loves them anyway.
Ashley King
Digital Marketing
King makes sure the work gets seen. She runs digital marketing strategy with a precision that actually moves numbers, and she doesn't lose sight of the person on the other end. She thinks in systems. She works across channels. She builds campaigns that connect.
King, off the clock
She's learning Spanish, shooting film photography, and somewhere in the middle of writing, producing, and filming an indie movie. Heavy metal shows are a regular calendar item. Weekends at the family cabin get curated with the same energy she brings to everything else. She stays busy in the best way.
Callen Williams
Copywriter
Callen finds the thread. She takes the messy, half-formed version of what a brand is trying to say and turns it into something clear, specific, and worth reading. Her instinct for the right word is almost unsettling. The copy she writes doesn't sound like copy. That's exactly the point.
Callen, off the clock
In another life she'd be running a foraged apothecary deep in the woods or living as someone's extremely comfortable celebrity dog. She hasn't fully committed to one. What she has committed to: dinner with Anthony Bourdain would have been the best meal of her life. She is, at her core, building toward some kind of epic tale.
